Smokin' Aces

SOLD
Ace is a 3 year old grade QH gelding. Moves very nicely and is a great ride.  Really fun on trail rides, has hauled out to different arenas and new places with lots of activity and is always great! Nice demeanor, loves people, and super cute to boot.  Even when first starting him he never did a single thing wrong!  He is super willing to do whatever it is you are teaching him.  He has been around a lot of gunfire and has been shot off of in preparation for training as a Mounted Shooting horse.

*Update - 3/5/11 Ace attended his first practice shoot and trotted through all the courses.  It was his first time being shot off of away from home and he was perfect!

3/9/11 Ace was ridden by a confident novice rider out at the grasslands.  Walk/trot/lope, through ponds, up and down banks and steep hills, in the front, back, and middle of the group, etc.

Ike Tivios Pistol

SOLD
Ike Tivios Pistol aka Rev is a 6 year old, 15.3hh, AQHA registered sorrel gelding.  He is an awesome barrel/speed event prospect or performance horse. He is super fast and feels good during slow work around the barrels (has just been around them a handful of times). He isn't a "finished" horse, but he is well started and ready to go in any direction. Neck reins pretty well, has a good stop, has been hauled to events and new places and does well. Can really move around well. Extremely athletic, and tall to boot! Big hip and baby doll head. Can shoot around him and off his back with the .45's but he would prefer a job other than Mounted Shooting.  $2500

Ringo

SOLD Coming 4 year old BLM Mustang gelding. Bay with no white. Super fun trail horse. Ringo really walks out and with his super smooth gaits is like riding a lexus down the road. He ponies and you can pony other horses off him, not worried about the rope bouncing off his butt, etc.
He has a lot of go in him and isn't spooky at all. Would make a fantastic competitive trail or endurance horse. Crosses tarps, bridges, cowboy carwashes, does the rope gate, checks the mail, etc. etc. Has been around gunfire. Loves people and is a lot of fun. Ringo also competed in the Extreme Mustang Makeover as a yearling (2008) and was shown by a 14 year old girl. He isn't a "finished" horse by any means but he is a great trail horse. I would say he needs at least a confident intermediate rider (just because he is a young horse with some young horse quirks). Call for more info.
$1,000 price will go up with more training.

Wyatt

SOLD
5 year old Grade Paint Gelding. Solid Bay with oversize blaze. 15.1hh
Cowboy Mounted Shooting and Extreme Trail horse. Completely bombproof to gunfire- coursing at the trot and lope. Super smooth gaits, auto lead changer, great calm personality. Wyatt is a great horse and the kind of horse that we hate to sell! When acclimating him to gunfire we brought the gun out, fired it, and he didn't bat an eye or even flinch. he just perked his ears and gave it a curious look like "hmm what was that". Within 10 minutes he was trotting through the practice course like he had been doing it all his life. We have been shooting off him several times a week and he is going through the courses nicely. - I will get more up when I have more time. In the meantime e-mail me for more info and pictures. info@westernclinics.com
*UPDATE 12/12/09 - Wyatt was fabulous at his first shoot! Video below!
*UPDATE 12/16/09 - Madeleine rode Wyatt at the TSG Practice shoot at the Lonesome Dove Arena. He was great for her and she is going to ride him in her L1 class at our next shoot.
*UPDATE 01/20/10 - Wyatt went for a 4 hour trail ride at the Fort worth Stockyards on Sunday. He did great! We even got into a little "battle of the better breed" with some riders out on their mules. It ended up being an "anything you can do I can do better" type contest and Wyatt crossed foot bridges, metal bridges, a fish ladder type dam, and more. The mule riders weren't able to find a single thing that he couldn't do too!

SOLD
M is a 9 year old APHA Breeding stock mare. She has nearly a full year of Professional Reining training. She slide stops, spins, changes leads, side passes, and more. She has been introduced to roping and would make a great heel horse or calf roping horse. She has been ridden through the Fort Worth Stock Yards (See video of her climbing stairs under "Achilles" - she is the horse the video is taken from), at the grasslands, and all around the neighborhood through traffic. She crosses bridges, tarps, ditches, swimming pool noodles, etc. I have even drug a big stuffed grain bag behind her with the wind blowing it between her legs, up in the air, etc. She neck reins and is extremely handy.
We have started her in training for Cowboy Mounted Shooting. She has been trailered to every shoot we have gone to so far this year and entered in the time onlys. She is completing the courses at a lope and doing great. She doesn't give a hoot about all the gunfire and will sit and take a nap while tied to the arena fence. This is the kind of horse that makes you want to own a mare! She is nothing but willing, all heart, and lots of try.

Lola

SOLD 5 year old Bay Roan Mustang Mare.
14.1hh. We started Lola as a 2 1/2 year old and she has always been one of our favorite horses. She has been everywhere with us from huge rides at whiskeytown to climbing Mule Mountain. She has been around cattle, sheep, goats, you name it. She is virtually bombproof out on the trail, is great with traffic and other horses, and is personality plus.
